I think there are a few things to keep in mind. With all the hoopla over the scuffs on new phones, a few things to keep in mind. Yes, I would be pissed off too if I had that on my brand new phone, but when either talking with Apple Support, or going into an Apple store, keep this in mind.

The person you are talking to did not make the phone. They did not personally scratch your phone. So getting pissed off and/or yelling at them does nothing for you. I can PROMISE you they want to try and help you anyway they can, but from the looks of it, there are a lot of these issues and you can imagine how many people they're seeing. This is just as new to them as an issue and I'm sure they're all wanting to make sure they're following proper protocol on what to do.

Only reason I bring this up is bc I was at the Apple store yesterday and someone was going CRAZY on an employee which isn't right. So for anyone who is really pissed, just take a deep breath and know you're going to get help. That is all.
