Please Please Please Help Me Pick a Camera!

Hello Everyone,

I am buying a birthday present for my Dad later this month, and for the life of me I can't decide which ultraslim Canon camera to pick, the silver or the black. I bought both of them, but I have to return one. Please tell me what you think looks better Silver or Black? I attached photographs of both cameras to this thread.

Let me preface this thread by answering possible questions...
1) This is a surprise present, so I'm not going to ask my dad.
2) I am not going to ask my mom for help nor my aunt or uncle or the family dog.
3) I don't do coin flips when picking fashionable electronics

My vote goes to the black one i think, although i'm pretty sure he won't be disappointed with either.

Good decision on going with Canon.

I shoot Nikon SLRs, but for ultraslim cameras, I think its really down between Sony and Canon. Nothing else looks quite as good as a Canon in that genre of cameras, imho.

silver. the black one looks somehow awkward. they shouldve made it totally black or totally silver (the left one).

my ipod is silver, my iphone is black.
my sony cybershot is silver, my sony alpha is black.
no bias.
