Hello - I read through some of the recommendations on which imac but I didn't see any specific to editing GoPro videos.
I currently have a 2009 Mini Mac, which I'm looking to replace with a 2012 iMac. The main purpose of the iMac would be web surfing and photo editing (lightroom) and video editing. The problem with my minimac is the GoPro vidoes are so large the hard drive is too small so I'm putting them onto an external and the tranfer isn't quick enough to allow seamless editing. I'm beeng contemplating a new iMac for a few months now so figured it's a good reason to buy now.
I am currently using a 19" display, so I think that the 21.5" would be sufficient. I'm wondering if the 27 would be too large for desktop use.
So right now I am debating between the base 21.5, the upgraded 21.5 and the base 27. I see a big difference is the graphics card on each one is different. Any insight on a recommendation based upon my use? It does concern me a bit that the 21.5's only have the 5200rmp hd.....

I guess any would be better then my current Mini, which is only 2GB ram and 160GB hard drive.

Thank you in advance!
