PLEASE tell me 2.1 will fix the horrible slow-ness of basic menu navigation

Even a simple matter like tapping a contact's name takes 3 seconds to action!! Text/keypad entry is slow. Not to mention stuck pixels seemingly appearing every few days.

I'm sorry but Windows Mobile smartphones aren't even this slow. I had one for a year and it crashed twice in all that time. My iPhone 3G crashed twice on it's first day.
