I save MacRumors.com as a bookmark to my iPhone 4 homescreen. The resolution is still terrible. Sites like Engadget have updated... MacRumors is my favorite and I'd appreciate an update :)

I notice the webclip icon has been updated, but to be honest I preferred the black background as opposed to the new white.

Just my opinion though. It's cool either way.

I was

Just making a post/thread about this then saw this one. Om stoked on the new with the white I'm it. Plus it's only main homescreen so it's nice having one suited for my iPhone 4.

Why the icon change.

So I was pleased when my icon for this site was changed to the white "retina" display icon for my iPhone 4. It now it's Back to a black background I comt that decently does not look "retina" display friendly. So why the sudden change back to an unattractive icon?

Macrumors.com iPhone Shortcut website app?

I tried a search and wasn't even sure where to post this question, but it has me wondering...
Why does my macrumors.com shortcut icon turn from a white to black background on my iphone?
Does it mean anything?
Is there any reason for the changing color?
Am I just going crazy?

Thanks, npep

It's just as the site guys update the icon... so it used to be black, then it changed to white with an iPhone 4 Retina Display quality logo, and now it's a black background again...

Thanks! Was not sure if I was losing my mind or if it meant something had changed on the site.
Simple enough!

If you have a graphic with transparency part, the transparent part might be rendered as black.
