Plex Media player.... Who knew?

Just downloaded as I was having terrible playback issues for 1080p 3D Blu-ray rips (mkv) on my late 2010 11 inch MBA 1.4Ghz 2GB model. I was about to give up and resort burning the files to a Blu-Ray disc when I saw the thread discussing 1080p playback and that Plex has the best results.

Wow, not only does it play back flawlessly, but the Plex environment is great!

I downloaded Rowmote too and it has changed the game completely

Next is getting the Plex menu system to work well when having the 3D SBS enabled on the TV.

I've been using Plex for several weeks and find it extremely helpful for managing and playing my movie and TV collection. Just today I explored the free streaming content available..... it's quite extensive.

What is the best remote control app for it?

The Plex App is probably best, but I couldn't find much about it.

I control Plex with an Apple Wireless Keyboard connected to a Mac mini, which is the server for my videos. I'm not sure what you mean by a remote control app for it. Did you read the info at the Plex website?
