Plextor - ConvertX PVR - Lots of static?

I bought a Plextor-ConvertX PVR and I've hooked it to my Mac Mini. No problems there. The problem is the picture isn't clear and the audio is static. I've checked all my connections and they are all firm and in place. I actually used this same cable connection on my PC with a TV tuner and the picture and audio are fine. So I'm thinking it must be my setting on the Mac, but I don't see what needs to be changed.

Any advice?

I can see the picture and see the channels for my cable company. It just isn't clear.
