I updated from a Nighthawk RAX120, that was still a beast, to a RS300. The recent firmware has made it much better and it’s been pretty solid for the last few months.

Got it with $30 off as well.

I thought it was. The RS300 vs RS700 differences wouldn't have any benefit to me as I would never use them, I think the RS700 is better suited for industry than home if you compare the specs. Unless you need the extra coverage distance the RS700 provides (3500 sq ft) it is massive overkill for a home router.
 
Thanks for that. Of course it’s the one netgear recommend as replacement lol. I guess they just went off , my current specs and suggested it. But I’m not even running anything close to Fiber so agree a waste.
