Upgraded to iOS 26 and there are a few annoyances I can't seem to find a solution for:

1) on my iPad 10, swiping up on lock screen used to ask for passcode straight away. Now it asks for TouchID with a passcode button you have to touch to enter passcode. How do I remove that prompt and go straight to passcode entry?

2) on the iPhone lock screen, it shows the month abbreviated instead of fully spelled out. For example it says Oct 5, 2025. Not October 5, 2025. Could not find an option to spell the full word? iOS 18 was the full word.

3) Always on Display on iPhone - I see the option to not display the wallpaper, but the widgets are still visible (and very bright) compared to the time. I just want to show the time on AOD.

Thanks

1. You can just disable Touch ID on the lock screen if you don't want it.

2. The date is forcibly shortened.

3. As on iOS 18 you can't do anything about the widgets other than completely remove them.

shame...thanks. On the iPad point 1) there should be a way to change this back the way iOS 18 handled the lock screen!
