Hello

I usually charge my MBP to full then take off the charger but for the past month as I have been heavily gaming, I keep in plugged in to play but now that I took it off, it lasted half as long as usual or actually less. Instead of 7-9 hours, its at 2-4 now on my new rMBP late 2013. 80 battery cycles.

Try to make sure your apps or games are fully closed. If that doesn't work do a smc reset

Once it reaches full charge it stops charging. The charging process won't kick back in untill it has drained to 90 or 95 percent. So even if left on the charger your not cooking your battery or anything. The battery only has like a 1000 cycles in it untill it starts to degrade though.
