My sister has an iPod that she got for Christmas last year and now whenever she plus it into a computer, the computer locks up and ONLY goes back to normal if you unplug it. What's going on here? I updated the Firmware and it is iTunes 6.0.

Mine did the same before I took it in to get replaced. It was a failing hard drive. Sorry, but it sounds like you're sister may have the same thing. 
The thing is that it plays the songs just fine, it just locks up the computer when connected and the interface is REALLY slow.
