So, a buddy of mine was saying you shouldn't keep your cellphones plugged into their charger all the time, or it will make the batteries die out sooner. I've heard that before so I'm guessing it could be true... So, does that mean it would also be bad to keep laptops plugged in all the time? My new Macbook is pretty much just going to be sitting on a desk or table forever, always plugged in.. but would that kill the battery life? A year from now, if I wanted to take my Macbook with me somewhere, will the batteries suck?

It is somewhat true, a battery needs some exercice, read the FAQ just posted, if you need more info, ask away.
