I have these speakers:
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Z-2300-THX-Certified-Speaker-Subwoofer/dp/B0002SQ2P2

Every time I plug them in my rMBP, I hear a loud static noise that comes from the speakers themselves (it happens even if I touch the RCA cable with my finger). So I'm wondering if this static noise/whatever is happening there, can damage my rMBP in the long run? I connect and disconnect this cable 2-3 times a day since I use my laptop as a desktop.

Thanks.

This is a non-issue. This will happen with practically all speakers and will not damage your laptop or your speakers.

Basically it's a slight electric discharge/connection that's minute.
