plugging magsafe to MBP while asleep

So I have been noticing this recently and it is kind of annoying. Everytime my MBP is asleep (with the lid closed) and I plug in my magsafe adapter, the laptop decides to wake. If I don't open the lid, then my laptop will freeze and I am forced to do a hard restart.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just my MBP. thanks

What do you mean freeze? Do you mean when you open it, it doesn't turn on immediately?

Make sure you have all your updates installed, including EFI updates.

Try SMC reset.

This also happened to me once in a while. The most recent software updates have seemed to cure it.
