Hai everybody i am from UAE and my system configuration is ( leopard version 10.5.8 processor 2x3 GHz Dual-core intel Xeon) in UAE almost all sites are blocked by service provider so i cant access even Orkut also. some time we used hotspot shield proxy for open that blocked sites. In every time we can't access blocked sites through hotspot shield bocz of huge traffic. Well, if you take a look at Hotspot Shield's website, you will see that they have a Mac version. I don't know why you'd have to download software in order to use a VPN, though. I'd be a bit cautious of that.
An alternative to VPN services is Tor, which further anonymizes your web browsing, albeit at the cost of speed.
