Hi all - help needed!
I know the firmware for the uniprocessor powermac g5s was updated ages ago, but I never bothered to install it until now (I'm lazy). Before I had downloaded the firmware update and ran the installer, but I never got around to doing the reboot/hold power button thing. I had forgotten about it, but when I did a clean install of tiger it came up in software update again, so i downloaded it and ran the install thing, but now when I shut down and hold the power button as instructed, it wont run the firmware update. Instead it just goes to the little firmware command prompt thing and asks me if I want to boot or shutdown.

Any advise on how to make my mac update its firmware?
