PNG file from preview backup won't move on desktop or to the trash

So I was adding font to a screen shot I took and once I saved it I could move the actual image file but it created two files that can't be opened in preview, moved around, or moved to the trash. When I try to trash it a window pops up saying, "The file "insert file" can't be moved to the Trash because it cannot be deleted."

Any idea how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash

Thanks for your help but I apparently restarting was all it took. I would have done that before posting but I really didn't think it would work. Thanks again though for your reply.
