EDIT: I'm an idiot. All I needed was to repair permissions and restart :)
Thanks MR.

Hi MR,

I reinstalled Mac OS X four days ago and updated everything. However, for some strange reason, PNG files no longer open.

At one point ALL of the PNG files on my system were changed to the document type "DocumentType". I tried to re-associate them with Preview, and they turned into "Preview Document"s and have a UNIX icon.

And when I open them in Preview, they simply won't show up. They won't open. I can open them in Photoshop and they work, though. This happened about yesterday, as you can see here:

Picture 36 and after do not have preview icons. What's wrong here? Thanks!

(btw, yes, that is Riddick.)
