iPhone PNG's and JPEGS Show Up As Documents in iMessage

Whenever I send a JPEG or a PNG through iMessage to myself it sends as, what appears to be a document file.

I have no idea how to fix the issue. Please see attached image and let me know if there's anyway I can fix this issue.
