I have a PNY Vibe MP3 player (USB) that for some reason does not want to mount on my G5. It shows up in System Profiler under USB devices, but does not mount on the desktop or in disk utility.

The odd thing is, it mounts fine on my 12" Powerbook (1GHz) and my Windows PC. It also mounts on my roommates PowerMac G4.

What could cause this USB drive not to show up on my G5? I am trying to use the USB port on the front of the machine, and a port on my powered hub that is plugged into one of the back USB ports. Its a PowerMac G5, Dual Proc 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GB RAM.

Thanks for your help, this is puzzling. Its not a big deal, I just want to know why it would work on my Powerbook, but not on my PowerMac. Its a pain in the ass transfer music to put it on an MP3 player.
