Pretty amazing what they had the car rigged to do... Link

The car was also equipped with an automated box ready to spring tire traps to slow pursuers. The poachers had fitted a halogen lamp on the outside to blind their prey and shielded the car's number plates with lead sheeting to avoid identification.

There was also a device to eject two old bicycles fixed on the back of the car on to the road as an obstacle to any vehicle in hot pursuit, Belga reported.

And they still got caught.

All that for some rabbits?

I wish they had a picture of the car on the article, though. It probably looked like a bunch of junk strapped to the back side, sort of like the DeLorean from Back to the Future:D

That DeLorean would be fun to outrun the police in. Hit 88 and let them eat your trail of fire as you zip back into time before they caught you speeding.

with all the extra stuff, it probably was so over loaded it had terrible performance. But as above - all that for wabbits?

D

I think removing them would cause more suspision, particularly on an older car. If I was gonna try this, I think I would be more apt to obscure my plates than to remove them too.

To me, the funny part is that they did all this for some rabbits. Was the guys last name Fudd by any chance?:p
