Not sure what forum to put this in so here it is.
I have the latest iOS and iTunes (OS X) versions but most of this has been an ongoing problem since at least iOS 8.X and iTunes 11 or 12.
Early on I was not syncing subscriptions between iPhone and iTunes. I only synced the iTunes playlists with podcast content to the iPhone. I am now syncing subscriptions between devices. This seems to work OK but I am still have playlist syncing problems.
Example: Playlist configured on iTunes "Short new podcasts" unplayed, less than 20 minutes. I have 5 of these in iTunes, but only 2 on the iPhone. This issue has been going on for quite some time.
Example 2: Played many podcasts on an iPod, synced back to iTunes, podcasts and playlists not updating on the iPhone, they are still showing unplayed. For this I have rebooted the iPhone, restarted iTunes, removed the playlists from syncing. It is still a mess.
I also notice that playlists on the iPhone take a long time to recognize changes when a podcast is played.
Is this just part of the podcast/iTunes mess or something unique to my systems?
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
