iPod podcast ads, i have an idea

i was thinking about the rumor of the ads in podcasts and I had kinda a crazy idea.

First of all, its kinda impossible for apple to put ads in them, cause its not there content. However what if they developed a program similar to googles adsense. where companies would sell podcast ads and apple would assign them to your podcasts (you would have to sign up for this) then payed you depending on your subscribers. apple would take a cut and get extremely rich, and it would generate revenue for podcasters as well.

Interesting angle on it.

Definitely if the ad revenue were shared with the podcaster by Apple, this would provide the missing economic engine for some people to keep making their podcasts available free. Without going the Ricky Gervais way.
