I have restarted my phone, I just upgraded to the new ios. Yet still I’m being shown that the podcast app is using ~40 gigs of data. What gives?

thanks. i have deleted every downloaded episode, unsynced any automatic downloads, and then deleted the app. i don’t have any episodes downloaded but it still shows almost 40 gigs of data.

There’s a real chance the deletion has failed. I never use podcast but maybe if you use third party tools to delete iTunes_Control folder or podcast folder those files will be deleted and your device space will be back.

If I get a chance, I’ll try to write a tutorial on how to delete those files on Mac or on PC.

I’ve encountered corrupted sync numerous times before, tho mine is for music.
