Podcast episode not syncing

I have my podcasts setup on Apple Watch to add 10 episodes from Up Next. I have 5 in my queue, however Apple Watch only sees 4 and syncs 4. I have deleted the episode and marked as played and re downloaded and marked as in played but it simply won’t transfer it to the watch.

Any ideas?

Apple Podcasts works in mysterious ways. Even Overcast can be a pain in the butt and it's pretty good.

Sorry, no answer, I gave up on Apple Podcasts years ago.

Maybe low on space if AW 3 or older and podcast #5 won’t fit? Some podcasts can be quite large (eg. I’ve got a 282MB episode on my phone) so some combo of #5 size and already on phone just won’t work.
