Podcast player playing too fast on iPhone 5

I was outside mowing while listening to a Cagcast podcast and after awhile , it started to play faster, probably the equivalent to playing a 33rpm record on the 45 setting. Not really fast but fast enough to make it difficult to follow.

I figured it was just that podcast (was saved, not streaming), so I tried another and it did the same thing. I then force closed it, still same. I restarted the phone and that didn't make any difference.

I can't imagine that I changed a setting since it was in my pocket.

Has this happened to anyone?

You've probably activated the x2 or x1.5 playback setting.

That is the first thing I thought of but I don't see anywhere where that can be changed. I see Rew, skip back 10 secs, Play, Fwd 30 and FWD
