Podcasts on Watch Showing Played Episodes

Apple seems to have fixed its Podcasts syncing problem across iOS and Mac OS. However, on my Watch, Podcasts list all my played episodes (they are even noted as played.) There doesn’t seem to be anyway to change this on my Watch. Any thoughts?
