I downloaded the Apple Podcasts app today, subscribed to a few shows, and downloaded the content. Then I connected to iTunes and synced. Neither the subscriptions nor the content appeared in iTunes. Why not?

Do you have the settings on your devices set so the podcasts sync? In iOS, go to the Podcast App preferences and turn on Sync subscriptions. On your Mac, go into the iTunes preferences and check the box to Sync subscriptions.
