Hi all,

Podcasts on the Watch are one of my more anticipated features. I have seen some information regarding this new app/feature, but I still have a lot of questions. To all of you beta testers, can you answer any of these questions:

1. Do you stream episodes or download them? Can you choose? How does it work?
2. How does syncing work? Both episode position and episodes from phone to watch
3. Any other cool features that haven't been highlighted elsewhere?

Also any screenshots or videos you'd be willing to post would be awesome.

Just tried the beta and thought I'd post here instead of starting a new thread. I set two podcasts to sync, but neither had by the morning (Series 2). What behaviour are others experiencing?

Came here for Podcast Apple Watch info as well... I'd also like to know what happens with podcasts and syncing. I run listening to podcasts most days and would would like to have the latest episodes of them auto-synced to my watch so that I wouldn't have to take my phone with me.

This exactly!

Aren’t there any Apple Watch beta testers willing to tell us how this works?

For me it doesn’t. Not one podcast has synced.

Is it a similar on/off toggle in the podcast section of the Apple Watch app? Similar to the music settings in the Apple Watch app? I’m curious as to the mechanics of it, less curious of whether or not it’s functioning yet in the beta. The idea being that it should work once out of beta.

Here you go:

Forum won't let me upload watch screenshots for some reason. Its similar to music.

I will likely be using Castro or Overcast when watchOS 5 comes out, but what I’m hoping for is some sort of separate folder which syncs over (either through manually adding or based on particular podcasts), because I’m subscribed to so many podcasts (ok, 60) and often have dozens of podcast epidodes downloaded at any given time. I have to imagine this would be a horrible experience for the watch to attempt to download and keep in sync all of my podcasts...
