point network profile to local user

I have a macbook air 2012 and I wanted to know if it's possible to join it to an Active Directory domain but then when the account is created, instead of having to copy my whole local profile, can I basically point the network account name to use the local profile.

So if the network account was DOMAIN\netUser and the local account is User, and I have joined it and I can see that new account under Users, how/can I point DOMAIN\netUser's profile to the home folder for User??
