Pointer Zoome Effect ??? How to stop

Unsure when this happened but just noticed when I move my mouse fast on the desktop or with laptop track pad rapid swipes - the arrow pointer zooms out and gets really large. like it is flying off the screen in your face 3D Style.

Since they have different OS 2008 tower 10.11/ 2012 rMBP 10.12 must be a common feature that has always been there.... but oddly never noticed...

Can this be stopped? Now that I see it it is driving me nuts.

This is the "shake mouse pointer to locate" option in the Display section of the Accessibility System Preference. Uncheck to disable.
