haha that sounds like my reviews and raves or poisoned.

It connects to Gnutella, FastTrack and its own network called OpenFT.

The application is a god of the P2P world. :D

How enthusiastic! Well, I took you're advice and tried it out. You were right. I had tried it once a long time ago, and liked the clean acq. interface better. Now though, it appears poisoned is pretty sharp! Plus it has the features now like iTunes integration that I loved from acq. Only thing I don't like is the crappy icon. What happened to the cool one it had a while back?

Haha, there have been so many icons...

There was a flash... a mac w/ a gift... I forget was their an alien once? hha...

It was all crazy... People keep complaing for a new icon they kept changing this icon is the offical one... for now. ;)

I think you all can tell by now that MrMacman is one of the strong supporters of Poisoned. Don't be ashamed to use mldonkey (or mlmac) in combination with Poisoned, though, since:

Poisoned usually returns more stable and faster downloads
MLdonkey can search through a lot more files

(The above content in this post is not in violation of forum rules regarding P2P discussion.)

I've actually found that Poisoned to return great search results, but I've never actually been able to download anything from the Kazza network.

I'm not behind any firewalls or routers either, so it makes me wonder.

Limewire is programmed to access only Gnutella, last time I checked. Plus, it's shareware. Poisoned can access Gnutella, and the Fastrack network, and OpenFT (or is it OpenGT? I keep forgetting). And it's free.

So why Limewire?

To tell you the truth, when I wrote that review I hadn't tried to download anything, but I was pleased with the amount of features it had when I looked around the preferences. After trying a couple downloads, I found that I hardly got any results, but the dl's all worked very well. Needless to say, I am back with Acquisition, which I prefer to many other programs because it is neatly organized, it has good results, the downloads are usually very successful, and it integrates well with iTunes.

Limewire works much better for me.

More of the files I say to download actually download, and more of the files that do download download faster.

Its OpenFT.

Poisoned -- Gnutella (limewire) + FastTrack (KaZaA) + OpenFT (Poisoned's own network)

Limewire -- Gnutella.

Aquisition -- Gnutella.

You tell me which will last longer... an application that will always have one slow network that is in need or repair or a program that could access any network out their with the right coding?

It all depends on which networks you were connected too...

If its only OpenFT, then yes small search database... If its all of them... you get a great selection.

You mention iTunes integration... which Poisoned has also... so I'm not sure why you are pointing that out... and How organized can 4 differnent tabs be?

Network view -- Search -- Downloads -- Uploads

Your choice... but I have no say with even the Latest Limewire... it runs slow... its bloated look at the system resources it is eating... geez.
