So I have been hired by a progressive political party in Canada to do some videos. I have been given a free reign on what to make.
1. what do you want to see in a video?
2. what are some "cool" political videos that would capture 18-25 & 25-35 demographics that you have seen?

here were the videos that got me the attention.

Show the (Perceived) Truth as a Story

And be concise, poignant and efficient about it. Don't tell, show. I have been active in my local political groups and have contributed mainly by volunteering at polls, call centers, etc. I like your videos. But the ones you are about to make will need to be shorter, I'm sure.

Good Luck.

yeah, for sure on the length. 30 seconds is the sweet spot.

those were just longer and bigger messages that needed to be sent out.

here is the same style but shorter:

The style of the shorter video was no where near that of the longer pieces. The longer pieces had a lot of DOF, lots of cuts between multiple individuals, some broll, etc. All-in-all nice pieces.

The 1 minute spot was a lock-off single take of some guy talking about his point.

Personally, I think a 30 sec spot of "real people" more like the longer ones are stronger and "hit home" better with the general public than the suit talking into your eyes for 30 seconds.
