Are these models good for Apple's business standpoint, or a "cheapening" of the brand, etc ?

Judging by the big drop in share price, perhaps not.

5C not innovative enough, 5S not cheap enough

Should have added short-term and long-term options.

Good in the former ($$$$$$$$), but jury is definitely out on the latter.

Got those two the wrong way round.

As for share price, whilst that's indicative of initial response, the inevitable massive sales figures will bolster that up.

Only time will tell.

From the price standpoint, I think its a good deal. They now have $99 phone that has almost all of the features of a high-end model minus a few.

You're right - I meant the opposite. Maybe I've inadvertently discovered a flaw in the naming scheme!

I hate when people say blah blah - please discuss. Why the **** should be be discussing this? That's for you to tell us.

But I'll bite.

When the sales figures are released in a few weeks well know how good things are.
