Poll about MacBook Cracking Case.

Hi. Today I've bought a White Unibody Macbook for my wife.
I'm a little worried about all those posts I've read about the case cracking at the hinges and connectors.
Is there any way to prevent this besides good care and treating?
Might it be only a bad batch of MacBooks?
It don't want to panic, but this matter worries me a lot.
I live in Argentina, and nearest Apple Service Center I have is 400 miles away.

Any opinion would be of great help. Sorry for my english.
