I came from a 3GS I bought on release date and the difference is beyond insane. :).
What did you come from ?

Came from a HTC One X...upgraded to that from an iPhone 4 I've had and loved since release date, but I decided to take a trip to the Android world but immediately decided it wasn't for me :p

Coming back to iPhone after a couple years on Android (HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola Droid RAZR).

Directly upgraded from the Motorola Droid RAZR. Amazingly, to me at least, is that the iPhone 5 is as thin as the RAZR and much lighter.

Good call! Did the same with galaxy s2. Had it for a month and went back to my 3GS.

iPhone 4 - I actually prefer the weight and glass back of the iPhone 4 but I love the screen size and speeeeeeed of the iPhone 5.

iPhone 4 for me, and i had dumb phones before that.

I considered a high end droid this time, about 5 minutes in the store was all it took to realize that wasn't going to turn out well. I like the efficiency and polish of iOS, android felt too clunky and convoluted for me.

I left Verizon for AT&T with the iPhone 4, went back to Verizon for the iPhone 5. I ported my number the day before launch and activated my old VZW dumb phone (an LG Venus) and just about died trying to use it. Using a numerical keypad for messaging was a real chore. I used to be so fast at it too!

Came from a iPhone 4 32gb black to iPhone 5 64gb black, the iPhone is the most important device in my life because it encouraged me to leave PC for mac in terms of its simplicity and minimalist looks. In fact the new iPhone 5 screen looks more monolithic like my Sony Bravia tv.

iPhone 4 here too. The speed is amazing and noire keyboard lag when typing up posts on MacRumors :). iOS 6 flies on the latest phone, so it's a perfect upgrade. Love my phone now! I also use it a lot more thanks to the fact that it actually can keep up now.

HTC Desire ...

Though have an iPad ... Love it but having battery issues so may need to exchange
