It seems these days that the iPhone section of these forums is riddled with complaints. Many people including myself seem to think that these are isolate issues and that good quality iPhones are way more plentiful than represented in these forums. Many readers of this forum only see bad things with the new iPhones and probably reconsider buying them. Now I propose to you a poll that will show the percentages of iPhones that are truly defective to those possibly under-represented good iPhones. In this poll i have included most of the issues people seem to report on these forums along with an other section (if you chose this please reply with what your problem is). So I ask you 3gS owners to vote in this poll to clear any possible discrepancies that are going on with the ratio of flawed:non-flawed iphones.
 
Its just not a fair poll. Of the 1 million phones sold, I can guarantee you most dont visit this site, and many of the ones that do come in search of a solution for a problem, so the results will be terribly skewed...
 
I agree with the user above, the only people that are going to say "no" are people like me that are sick of users complaining.

Edit: Apparently there are two of us...

I would vote but I am ordering mine after I get the money from an iPhone 3g I sold. I also think that it will be equal voting between users voting to complain/get help with issies and those who are sick of said users...
 
Your sample is already tainted. The average macrumors poster is not the average iphone user. There are over a million new 3gs out in the marketplace. How many of those do you think come here, post or would even respond to the poll?
 
It takes time and energy to participate in these Forums. Those are scarce resources for most people these days.

So you see more people participating when they have an issue or need some help with something than if things are just going well.

My experience with Apple over time is their product quality and support has declined somewhat in recent years, but they are still awfully good on average.

I did not appreciate having issues with my new 3GS (variable battery life of between 2 and 4 hours with minimal use). I did not appreciate the guy I talked to on iPhone support that said 5 hours is pretty normal with minimal use on 3G (when apple says 5 hour TALK time, 10 hours data time and 300 hours standby). I don't appreciate that Apple's battery life figures seem to differ more and more from reality each year. If things keep declining, I may switch just to punish them, but unfortunately they are still better than most so I'd likely be punishing myself as well.
 
My volume down button is pushed further down then the up button. the home button is also on a slight angle.

I really dont care though.

and isnt the rattling sound just the autofocus camera?
 
My volume switch rattles, the bezel isn't even, and the home button is stiffer on one side than the other.

Depends on what you consider "normal" use. Normal dumb phone use I can get 3 or 4 days, while smartphone use is only 5 hours.
 
For the poll, why oh why did not make it so that user could select more than one option?
