It's the time of year when every young man's thoughts turn to possible new shiny objects with white apples on them.

Everyone's been postulating and speculating on what Apple may release, but I was wondering what you would like to see come out of the keynote.

I've included a poll with some lighthearted options on it. Yes, I realize the conference is primarily for software, and my list is mostly hardware. If I've overlooked something important, feel free to leave a thread and tell me about it.

Thanks.

I'd love to see SL released but to be honest, I don't think apple is ready for that. I do expect to see iPhone 3.0 to be released especially given the new competition from palm. So much so, I wouldn't be surprised if they grabbed some of the OSX developers to finish off the iPhone OS like they had done before thus delaying Leopard.

Seeing a healthier Jobs would be a plus

I don't think that Snow Leopard will be released at WWDC, I just think there will be a preview of it and maybe an announcement of the release date in August/September.

I also think that a new iPhone will be announced with a release date in July.

No iTablet at WWDC. I think something like that will get it's own special event.

Think of being a little kid at Christmas time, and sitting down on Santa's (or Steve Job's, whatever) lap and telling him what you really want for Christmas.

The question is not what you think Apple will release at WWDC, but what you'd like them to announce.

Final Cut Studio 3.....which is due for an upgrade! Hopefully, with native AVCHD support to match our friends at Adobe.

A new AppleTV with 1080P support or a straight up Blu-Ray Drive, DVR, Apps and an internet browser: for $350 or less.

It's a wishlist, right?;)

My other: Slightly bumped MBPs!

- 3.0x GHz cpu and 500GB@7200 HD option on the top end 15" and 17" with 10.6 pre-installed and supporting audio out on the mini-diplay-port (and a new mini-display-port to hdmi adapter)

</wet dream>

Snow Leopard with PPC support, 1680x1050-1920x1200 screen 15 inch MacBook Pros, FireWire MacBooks with 1440x900 screens, iPhone 3.0 (software and hardware)

I would like to see blu-ray. laptops starting at $800 at least have read capabilities. why dont we have it on computers that are 3 times more.
i dont think that will happen.

I want to see Logic 9 released, but additional to that, it'd be great to see the new pro apps demoed with a focus on the performance boosts Snow Leopard will bring. I've read the reports on what the new technologies in Snow Leopard will bring, but I want to see that difference in Apple software - what does it all mean when used in anger? I figure the new pro releases will be SL-ready, so this could be the first showing of the new tech and its benefits.

All I really care about is SL and a updated 15" (not much but)...

15" 1680x1050 res
3.06 Ghz as BTO
8Gb of ram
Nvidia GT 130M
Bluetooth 3.0
Blue Ray

Oh and of course SL shipped with it. That's all I really care to see come from WWDC this year. I'll have my credit card waiting the second this drops (if it comes true).
