I’m done with the polished mirror-like finish on the current iPhone Pros that scratches easily, and gets awful quick if you get scratched or dents on the rim, the reflections make it more obvious and worse.

It’s also a fingerprint magnet. And with the flat sides, a bit too blingy.

I would prefer a brushed or satin finish to have that sheen still and be less of a fingerprint magnet.

Most people keep them in a case so the mirror vs matte sides who cares right?

I love a brushed finish myself. & with the cases I use, the sides would be exposed, so I can bask in it 😏

I want it so shiny and sharp to the touch the we have a major blood shortage from all the transfusions that will be needed. It will make Dracula proud.

I think you are right to be honest. These phones are pretty but most people only see them when they are cleaning the case. It seems very rare to see someone going caseless with an iPhone in the general public.
People still are choosey with colours. And the rims of the stainless steel is exposed on Apple’s cases. And everything is exposed with the clear case.

Would love the same look as what the iPhone 4 had, looks like a sort of “Brushed Steel” finish, mix that up with some dark colours and it will look great!

I wouldn’t mind this at all. But I would love to see a more brushed finish, something new to try. I don’t remember if the iPhone 4 was a brushed finish.

That’s true. Not a fan of shiny polished metal so would prefer a matt colour if I had to choose. I prefer aluminium on a phone so if the stainless could look more like that than that would be my preference.

its timeless beauty isn’t it. Would love to see the next iPhones with this exact kind of stainless steel frame. Aluminium looking like this would be fine also and keep the weight down.

Lol, why would Apple make stainless look like aluminum?? That kinda destroys the whole point on using a metal that can be polished. Why would people pay extra for something that looks like a cheaper product?

Back in iPhone 4 era, there was no aluminum iPhone 4. Apple will not make two metal look like each other.

It would be completely pointless I agree, but then it’s just a hypothetical question anyway.

Voted brushed, but Anything than polish steel, though to late now. I bought a 12 pro and keep my phones for years till they break or run out off support. That said I wouldn't mind another lighter material like titanium for pro models. Hell I would be fine with aluminium, worked great on my 6s.

For me, i will never buy Titanium unless it is heavily coated/modified. Titanium, while strong, will scratch if you just look at it wrong! And under most lighting, Titanium also looks too much like aluminum to my eyes. Of course, it is also more expensive...and our iPhones are expensive already!

Personally, i think that Apple made a mistake making Titanium Apple Watch Edition. Ceramic is a better material...more distinguished (for Edition) and tougher to scratch.

Noooooo. Natural titanium apple watch any day. Best looking in my mind. Ceramic looks like plastik, though I haven't seen one in person. They are not sold in my country. Titanium was also first introduced here this year, with series 6, but only sold by Apple and I worry they may not be available next year or whenever I am upgrading.
