One of my first few polls on MR! My Apple TV+ trial will expire in a few months. I'll have to see what my situation is then to know for sure if I'll want to renew (to wrap up a few things), or to cancel my sub (move on to other SS, and come back after new seasons and films get added). Wondering what everyone else is like for the type of subscription they have.

I had the original 1 year free trial when Apple TV+ first launched. After the free year, I have been able to still keep Apple TV+ for free as it is included with my Apple Music student membership that is $4.99/month. I selected the free trial in the poll since there was no option for my use case.

I've been subscribing, binging a few shows and then cancelling until it's worth my time and money again. I am currently in the "non-subscribed" part of that cycle.

You're missing the pay as you go option... a la carte - monthly plan implies month to month recurring subscription. Pretty sure the preponderance of subscribers pay as they go. So one month to binge then several month hiatus while they are binging another service.

Month-to-month a la carte would cover this.. no? Such a plan gives them the flexibility to cancel anytime they'd like to while at worst losing out on up to a month's of payment.

I get a free 1-year sub from my wireless carrier, which is technically not the same as "free trial". Beyond that, I hope to see Apple introduce a cheaper Apple One tier with 2TB iCloud storage. Otherwise, I will sub a-la-carte yearly.

I’ve got Apple One Family because we used to have Apple Music Family anyway, and I found it was worth it to update and get the additional iCloud storage.

used the free 12 month trial and then cancelled ... if/when there is content of interest, let's say a series, I might subscribe for 1 month at the end of the series, watch everything I want and then cancel again ...

I am on the Apple One subscription - frankly I was paying £14.99 for Music, plus £2.49 for iCloud space anyway, so I see it as only costing me £2.51pcm for Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, which I think is a good deal.

I'm on a free annual plan from TMO, not a trial, but that wasn't a choice. Perhaps add to the list of choices?

I actually have had ATV+ since it launched but don't think I've ever paid for it. First it was the first year free w/ purchase of Apple device. Then it was extended. And extended again. And now on a TMO Promo where it's included w/ my mobile plan but I would pay an annual sub for it when that ends.

What's the point of Option#1? Why do you care who isn't subscribing? (Hint: they win)

Actually, what's the point of this whole poll?

Apple One, Individual Tier.
I already use 3 of the 4 services included in Apple One (Apple Music, Apple Arcade & iCloud 50GB), so i figured might as well bundle them up into Apple One & save a little money.

this poll made me think about it, i pay monthly. why am i not paying annually? Will change it now.

Had a free year when I bought my Apple TV box. Have since converted to the Apple One top level family plan, given I get tons of use out of Apple Music and wanted Apple News and enjoyed what I was seeing on TV+.

doing monthly plan but considering upgrading to Premier- storage and family music would already put me around $25. Figure pay the extra bucks to get the additional apps
