I say real, especially after the video walkthrough of it. And this probably disproves the Keynote transcripts on Page 2, which were bound to be fake anyway.

You would have to be an absolute moron to think it was fake.

Dont be so judgemental. Im not saying i dont believe its real, im just saying that some people hold out on belief until it officially comes out. You need to chill dude.

I'm not convinced that we will see these features in a firmware released as 1.1.3, or that we will even see a 1.1.3, but I do believe that the photos + videos were real.

Fake.

Apple would never actually deliver a useful iphone update like 1.1.3. They'd rather put out chickenbleep updates like the last 3.

I say it's a fake. Until Apple's lawyers demand to have the video/pics taken down it's a fake.

I could be wrong, we'll see after Macworld.

I ain't sure. I would love it to be real, but there's one or two things that lead me to think it might not have come from/approved by Apple's software engineers. The main one being the buttoons "under" the googlemap. I like the look of this, but it's not consistant with any other application, why, for example, does it not flip over like the Weather app?

Also, now googlemaps on-line has done away with the "hybrid" view option, (instead putting the mapping data on satellite view by default) why would they retain the hybrid and satellite views on iPhone?

It's likely to be real BUT I don't believe 1.1.3 will se the light of day. I suspect that it's an interim release that missed it's release window. The features will be rolled into the next update.

I'm hoping Apple will sort out basic stuff (notes/todo syncing, cut'n'paste functionality, mail app functionality, mms and sms handling improvements) as well as add new features. Roll on firmware 2.x and the SDK (in Feb/March).

I agree! What's going on with some people that jump with insults straight for the jugular? Take a deep breath and keep it cool...
