Poor Airport Speeds

i've noticed my internet connection has been lagging and it really annoying. Is there be a setting that i can tweak in the AirPort Admin Utility that could improve the speeds, like changing the channel off of automatic?

Have you tried unplugging the modem and router for a minute and then plugging them back in?
