Since updating to Watch OS 7 battery life has suffered. I would charge my watch around 8pm wear it to monitor sleep then the following day by 8pm I would usually still have 20-30% remaining now it’s led than 20% by mid afternoon

It‘s now been about 4h into the day, and my watch is at 87%.
Before iOS14/watchOS7 GM, it reached this level around 6-7 hours into the day.

I usually end my day at close to 50%, now it‚s 20-30%.

Battery life is definitely worse, but it‘s been the same for previous x.0 versions.
There will most probably be a x.0.1 release soon which should solve these issues.

My hope is that this poor battery performance is temporary, just as it often is for iOS updates - the watch is likely relearning and recalibrating movement as Apple have introduced new workouts and the hand washing app. Certainly I also see a big drop in battery life especially after a workout - 40 minute walk just after I woke up this morning, recorded in the workout app and I've dropped to 74% battery - I've been wearing the watch for less than 2 hours!
