So disclaimer I’m coming from a cheap android, realme 7 pro. Bought an iPhone 12 at weekend. I have not been impressed by battery life and iPhone 12 is supposed to have some of the best battery life, makes me wonder if my phone is dodgy but then I am also coming from an android with a 4000mah battery.

It’s 13.30, I took the phone of the charger at 7.45, I’ve been listening to podcasts most of day, 15 mins browsing, I’m sitting at 45% in low power mode. Now in contrast my android at the end of a working day had 70%, I’m not really a big user just podcasts and bit of browsing. Is this normal?

I like using this site for general idea of battery life, they used a mix method of testing so at least it gives you a good idea if phone A lasts longer than phone B. Of course everyones usage is different so the site is not the de-facto standard.

Realme 7 Pro they tested has a longer endurance rating than the iPhone 12 (non Pro).

Great thanks. That will explain it. Makes me wonder then how these SE people cope
