MP 7,1 Poor Blutooth Performance on 7.1 Mac Pro

I'm experiencing intermitent blutooth drop outs and poor range. I have had a few mouse glitches, but just got a pair of the AirPod Max's and am having those cut off on my MacPro. I'm only about 4 feet away from it and I don't have anything on the top.

I tested them on my 2016 MacBook Pro (Is Running Big Sur instead of Catalina) and iPhone and they work fine there.

Any suggestions?

Ok after exasperating myself for two hours, trying various things, everything started working. No idea what fixed it, maybe a stealth firmware update on the Airpods. I found one other poster on Google posting similar issues. Seems to be working now.... the max range before total cut off went from about 15ft to around 100ft.
