2018 15" MBP

I've tried two different converters to allow me to plug USB devices into my MBP but both give shaky connections. I don't know if the problem is in the sockets themselves or in the devices but it is VERY ANNOYING when the connection keeps dropping out!!

Anybody suggest an adapter that will work please??

I have been using this external Thunderbolt 3 1TB portable storage for a year now. This thing is close $400 when not on sale. It's on sale now for $159. I caught it at $129. However, $159 definitely ain't bad. It's very durable as I have dropped it more than once and no damage. It always has been a fast performer!

I just plugged it into mew MBP M1Pro to transfer my 29GB VM file. The transfer was so dam fast I missed it!! I took a few sips of water and checked a web page. I thought the transfer didn't start but it did. It was finished. It was seconds!!

Thanks bb. It's not a storage problem, just poor connection with anything I plug into the sockets. It seems maybe something not making a good connection!!

Sheesh! Sorry about that. ? I'm trying to find the thread where someone found a dock that worked. I'll post as soon as.

Ok, I found the right post. I hope this helps.

I am not sure if you will see this in time, but hopefully, hopefully it will help you in your search for a USB-C hub. I have two USB-C Hubs. I have a NOVOO 8 in 1 USB-C Hub and an Anker 7 in 1 USB-C Hub. I have had my NOVOO for the longest, and I have had a good experience with it. But since you are looking for something sold in-store before you leave, you may want to look into something like the Hyper HyperDrive Ultimate 11 Port Universal USB-C Hub and see if it's available at a Best Buy or a similar store near you.

They feel good and are a nice tight fit into the sockets. Come with a three year guarantee!!
