Poor iPad camera quality: I fixed it.

Ok, so the cameras are still low res, but I've massively improved the noise/graininess issue. This is a photo from the camera app:



The same photo taken with the latest version of Camera Boost:



Both photos were taken with identical lighting, on the same iPad, with no post-processing (except for the app's integrated noise reduction). No tricks Note that the Camera Boost photo is full sized too, while the camera app cuts the picture to fit the screen.

Other stuff the app does: HDR, colour effects (the well-known 'colour splash' and a lot more), all the usual retro effects, HD video recording (720p 30fps), HDR, and a bunch more.

It doesn't just have a bunch of preset filters, it lets you adjust the effects yourself, and you can mix effects any way you want. The effects are all done realtime, so you have a live preview, and you can record video in HD with the effects running - in fact you can adjust effects DURING recording, which can be pretty awesome fun

For the moment at least, it's iPad only. We're building something a little different for the iPhone which I think will work better with the smaller screen, but it'll be based on the same technology. That will be a separate app, though.
