I have just started to use itunes for my music on my ipod prefer to have something in my hand for my money.

I have noticed that the music i have downloaded fro itunes is of poorer quality than the music i put on by myself, when i put my ipod in a speaker dock i have to crank up the volume then the sound quality deteriorates,i know the speaker dock isn't the best but my on music is ok.

Is there a setting i can adjust.

Thanks

If your hearing is good enough to tell the quality of 256kbps than just buy the physical CD's from the store and run them through itunes encoded in lossless format or 320kbps. Or if you already purchased them from itunes and feel morally ok pirating them. Head over to your handy torrent tracker and download them most are ripped at 320 or higher...
