So I think most people know about the poor mans steadicam.

Now some of the parts are harder to find in the uk so there is the £9.50 steadicam.

I have yet to try this out and was open to suggestions about how to best go about a nice cheap steadicam solution! I have been using a closed tripod for a while now but it would be nice to have a dedicated steadicam part that I can carry around with the tripod.

Also if anyone has had any experience with homemade jibs / cranes or anything else feel free to share in this DIY movie equipment thread!

I made nice steady out of old table lamp - you know the one like a scisor with 4 springs on the side. You just need to find one that balances your camera weight correctly.

Any pics?

Can't really vision it you see!

Also any examples of it working, I have my full movie on youtube but Ill see if I can find the section where I used it alot...
