Hey everyone,
So lately since upgrading to Yosemite there have been some real problems in playing MKV files (any of Harmy's Despecialized editions inevitably have audio running way ahead of video after awhile) and watching flash video causes frequent stutters. It should be noted this happens most frequently when I'm pushing a tv at 1080p.

I'm on the latest version of Yosemite and use MPlayerX for mkvs and I'm wondering if this is the "normal" degradation of performance or if I may need to do a fresh install of Yosemite.

Thanks!

My 2008 machine plays 1080p fine, something's wrong with your computer, be it hardware or software.
